Projecting an installation in environments with an a “High Explosion Risk” requires a particular construction. The Atex (94/9/CE) directive defines the essential safety requirements with reference to the products that will be used in potentially explosive places. The Sematic solution to these requirements is the EEx II 2G. This execution is included, as per definition of the Atex directive, in the group of products II and so it can be used in places where the possibility of explosions due to gasses, steams, mists or air mixtures (G), ensuring a high protection level (class 2). To ensure this protection class the controller is installed in a heavy-duty metal container with sealed access classified Ex II 2G/D EEx d IIC T6, with all electric connections in protection sheaths, cable glands classified Ex II 2G/D EEx d IP66 connected to a motor classified Ex II 2G EEx d IIC T5. Door close contacts for both landing and car are classified Ex II 2G/D EEx d IIC T6/T5 for ambient temperatures of 80° C / 95° C. It is important that any external supply connections made by the customer and the door installation are effected precisely. | Compatibility | Notes | | Sematic 2000 B | c | | g standard c option NA Not Available C custom: subject to previous confirmation of technical feasibility | | Sematic 2000 C | c | | | Sematic 2000 SC | NA | | | Sematic 2000 C-MOD | NA | | | Sematic 2000 G | c | | | Sematic 2000 HD | C | For dimensions < TB 2500 and < TH 2500 4-6Z | | Sematic 2000 R | NA | | | Sematic 2000 SWS | NA | | Last Update 17-05-05 |
