| In an emergency situation, such as a main power supply failure, it may be useful and advisable that when the car is aligned with the landing doors (inside the lock release zone) they open automatically, remain open for a set time, and then close, all with normal opening/closing speed profiles.
According to this requirement Sematic offers to its Customers as an extra option the Sematic E.O.D. (Emergency Opening Device) which is compatible with the SDS© rel.3. The Sematic E.O.D. (Emergency Opening Device)consists of a 24V emergency power supply (with battery recharger already included in the hardware of the SDS© rel.3. ) and a magnetic switch (with relevant fixings for the car and landing doors) to recognize the lock release zone where the doors must be opened in an emergency situation.
The time, during which the doors must stay open in an emergency situation can be set by means of the handset of the controller SDS© rel.3.
