The Sematic “Smoke Seal” construction “resists the passage of smoke at ambient temperature” as required in the BS5588: 1983 and later amendments. Tested to the procedures of BS476: Part 31.1: 1983 this execution meets the requirements for the “compartmentisation” of the lift shaft and lobby in hotel installations, which in turn prevents the construction of an antechamber.
