| STEP | CHECK |
1. disconnect the system’s power supply; | [ ] |
2. open manually each landing door until the panels have reached the end stop and check that each door runs freely; disconnect the motor cable from the SDS© controller connectors and open manually car door until the panels have reached the end stop and check that each door runs freely; | [ ] |
3. Check fuses integrity and power connection plug. | [ ] |
| 4. check that all connections between the Door Controller and the motor (wiring terminal block with 6 pins) have been connected according to the wiring diagram instructions, and that: | |
| 4.A. no cables (except the earth wire, connection 28) are to be earthed with attention on motor cables (43-44-45); | [ ] |
| 4.B. all connections are securely made; | [ ] |
4.C. check that the motor has no short-circuit: for checking this item, connect a tester to the motor’s terminals and ensure the windings resistance is greater than 0 (Ohm). | Resistance [ ]W |
5. check that all connections between the Door Controller and the Main Lift Controller (the 10 pins connecting block and the two 5 pins connecting blocks) have been made according to the wiring diagram instructions, and that:
| 5.A. no cables are earthed; | [ ] |
| 5.B. all connections are securely made ; | [ ] |
5.C. all contacts (except 1-2-4-16-17-18-19) are voltage free. | [ ] |
6. disconnect the SDS© Rel. 3 Door Controller from the Main Lift Controller (unplug the 10 pins connecting block and the two 5 pins connecting blocks) and then apply power supply to the system.
7. make the self-learning cycle; should the installation have doors with different TB, then operate from the door with the smallest TB (warning: the self learning cycle is not the reset cycle); see notes below on how to make the self-learning cycle | [ ] |
| 8.Operate the door opening and closing by means of the 2 and 3 keys on the controller or by means of the keypad ; if in these conditions the system runs correctly the SDS © Door Controller is not defective and the problem lies with the Main Lift Controller signals or its connections. | |

Note on How to make the Self-Learning Cycle :
|
Self learning cycle activated by the SDS© Rel. 3 Door Controller A. after step 6 is completed (power given to the system) turn on the door controller; B. keep key 4 pressed for a while to switch from automatic to manual mode (check that the Auto led turns off and the man led turns on) C. keep key 1 (Self Learn key) pressed for a while. The keys 2, opening, and 3, closing, on the door controller command the opening and closing operations. D. When a closing signal is given the Door Controller carries out a closing cycle at low speed (the Door Controller display shows the sign “SL”) or remains in closed position. E. When an opening signal is given the Door Controller carries out an opening cycle at low speed (on the Door Controller display the sign “SL” flashes). During this operation please check carefully that the operator completes its total expected travel). At the end of the opening cycle, the self-learning cycle is complete (the sign “SL” disappears and “oP” appears). F. Keep key 4 pressed again for a while to return in automatic mode. |
Self learning cycle activated by the Handset. A. Turn on the door controller; if there are any closing or opening signals from the main lift controller, the operator will perform the relevant reset cycle in low speed up to the end run limit. B. Connect the handset to RJ45 connector C. If necessary, using keys ”Up Arrow” and ”Down Arrow” choose the required language and confirm with the “OK” key or confirm the suggested language with “OK”. D. Using keys ”Up Arrow” and ”Down Arrow” run through the “ main menu” and choose Self-learning E. Using the “OK” key confirm the option. F. If the operator is not on a closing position use key F2 to allow the door to complete a closing cycle in low speed G. Once the closure has been made, push again key F2 to allow a complete opening cycle in low speed H. During this operation please check carefully that the operator completes its total expected travel. At the end of the opening cycle the self-learning cycle is completed. This will be signalled with the information “Self-learning completed”. |
