| | | THE HISTORY1967 The company is founded by Rudolf Diemand and Klaus Neumann with the purpose of importing and exporting elevator components under the name “Liftmaterial Diemand & Neumann KG” in Haar near Munich.
1972 The first complete elevators are supplied.
1976 Start of export business with key markets in the Middle East. The trade mark LM LIFT MUNICH is registered.
1977 The company name is changed to LM LIFTMATERIAL GmbH + Co. KG.
1984 Start of the export business in the Far East with the key markets of Indonesia and the People’s Republic of China.
1987 Design and construction of the new company site in the village of Landsham near Munich.
1988 Shifting of premises from Haar to Landsham
1992 C. Haushahn GmbH & Co. KG takes over the majority of the shares and enters as a Partner into the Company.
1994 LM is the first German company in the elevator building industry to be awarded the Quality-System certification ISO 9001/9002.
1998 LM goes Internet

1999 Schindler takes over 100% of the shares fromC. Haushahn GmbH & Co KG and so takes control of LM LIFTMATERIAL.
2000 Sematic takes control (100%).
2001 The EMERALD machine Room-less Product Line is launched on the merket.
2005 The JADE machine Room-less Product Line is launched on the merket.
