MISSION

The Sematic Group founded in the year 2000 has its origins dating back to 1959. Thanks to the wide experience acquired in the elevator field the Sematic Group offers to the international market components and complete elevator systems.The presence of widely skilled companies in different countries is the Sematic customers’ guarantee of a complete pre and after sale service, supported by reliable and quality products.

1959 Sematic activity in the elevator industry starts in 1959, when Francesco Zappa establishes in Cinisello Balsamo (near Milan) a company named Zappa to produce elevator doors and cabins.

1973 The company moves to Osio Sotto (near Bergamo) and changes its name into Sematic Italia SpA.

1989 Sematic sets up a company in England named Sematic UK Ltd to assemble a limited range of standard elevator door systems and to provide technical support for UK customers.

1996 Sematic focuses its attention with direct customer contact. The first Sematic European exhibition is at "Interlift 1997" in Augsburg (Germany).

1999 Sematic participates in a company called Computec srl based in Northern Italy. Computec specializes in the development of industrial electronics, computer assembly and EMC testing.

2000 Sematic establishes Sematic Hungária kft and Sematic Singapore Pte Ltd sales offices to sell Sematic’s elevator door systems to Eastern Europe and Asia.

2000 Verri srl, based in Northern Italy, is taken over. Verri specializes in the manufacture of high quality elevator cars for the International market.

2000 LM LIFTMATERIAL GmbH, based in South Germany, is taken over. LM LIFTMATERIAL is an engineering company specialized in complete systesms and has subsidiaries also outside Germany.

2000 Tyler Elevator Products is taken over. Tyler specializes in custom elevator cars and entrance systems for the North American market.

First official meeting of all General Managers of the in order to coordinate all the Group's activites.

2001 Sematic establishes Elesteel srl in San Pietro Mosezzo (near Novara, Italy) for the production of slings and steel work.

2002 LM LIFTMATERIAL (South Pacific) Pty Ltd, (Sydney, Australia) is founded.

2003 Verri srl moves to its new Headquarters, near Sematic Spa, which are four times bigger than the previous establishment.

2004 Verri Srl, thanks to the bigger production area and to its organizing skills takes over the production of Elesteel, offering also slings and steel works.

2006 Sematic sets up a company in P.R. of China named Sematic Elevator Products (Suzhou) Co., Ltd

2007 Sematic Hungaria Kft opens a brand new manufactury plant with higher capacity.
